Doctrine

A doctrine normally refers to a collection of ideas with a common characteristic, or from a common source (for example, the biblical doctrine of love refers to the various parts of the Bible which talk about love).

As in the example above, a biblical doctrine would be a true doctrine.

A false doctrine would be a collection of ideas which is untrue and/or contradictory to a biblical doctrine.
