David Wood talks about the letter from the Mayor of Dearborn which says he was blocking foot traffic. Then he shows the film from his camera of Nabeel Qureshi’s cool, calm conversation and there are a bunch of people passing by behind them without any trouble. Another point which the Dearborn police and Mayor (John O’Reilly) lied about in their respective documents.
In this video: Nabeel Qureshi is approached by Muslims who were asking questions about why he was there this year. One Muslim invites Nabeel to preach to him and Nabeel (in a casual voice) shares the Gospel and answers questions from the small crowd. At about 6 minutes 20 seconds David Wood is seen being arrested by the police, Nabeel’s arrest follows shortly afterward.

In a blog update to the latest happenings in Dearborn, MI, apologist David Wood commented
I hear that our cameras have finally been returned to our lawyers. Since plane tickets are way too expensive, Paul and I are going to drive to Michigan tonight. We’ll be able to examine the cameras in the morning to see if the footage has been tampered with. If we’ve got our footage, we should be able to start posting videos tomorrow.
The cameras, camera equipment and film has been held Dearborn police since June 18th (for those curious, that was 26 days ago). And they had permission from a judge to copy the film the Monday after the arrest (June 21st) and have therefore illegally held the camera equipment for 26 days, and illegally and unnecessarily held their camera equipment for 23 days. Does the word childish come to mind?
This is good news. I know many of us are looking forward to seeing what actually happened and who is telling the truth. My inkling is that the Christians are telling the truth because they have been open and forthcoming since the day they got out of prison about what happened. The police and mayor of Dearborn took their time to come up with their “uhh… they wanted to be arrested” reply (see page 3 of the Mayor’s letter). Also, the Dearborn PD has a history of enforcing sharia law rather than US law as anyone can see from their encounter last year.
