I decided to switch up the look for the blog. I wanted to make it a little more neat/clean looking. I hope you enjoy the new layout!

Hey everyone, I wanted to write and let you know that I had my first week of classes for this semester this past week and it has cut into my blogging time. I’m taking Greek, church history up to the reformation, and a missions class (all relevant to the mission of this website/blog). I’m hoping to integrate my reading and assignments into content for the site. So far I’ve put together a chart for the Greek alphabet. More Greek resources will soon become available (please let me know if they are helpful).
My goal is not not to drop off the face of the earth during the semester. I’m going to keep posting but the posts will be shorter and more blurb-like. After-all, there are many competent theologians and apologists out there. Lets keep an eye on them ;)
This is a quick update for my regular readers. I am going to use the Greek and Hebrew fonts from the Bibleworks website on The Apologist. They can be downloaded at bibleworks.com/fonts for free. Instructions for installation are also on their site. These fonts should work on Windows, Macs, and Linux.
Next semester I am going to be taking a New Testament Greek class and my hope is to use this blog as a sounding board for sharing what I am learning. It will enable me to stay active on the blog, share insights into the Greek Language for interested readers, and force myself to study and explain the relevance of Greek in Theology and Apologetics.
I just logged into Facebook with another account that is not connected to any groups and out of curiosity searched for the term “apologetics.” The Eye On Apologetics page was 9th on that search.
Dear faithful readers, I am sorry for not posting anything in the last few days. I have been occupied with work and my brand new Kindle. I have been wanting one of these for almost 2 years now and have finally been able to purchase one (without breaking my budget). In addition to personal interests (which usually ends up being science fiction) I will be reading a lot of theology/apologetics on my new Kindle. I hope it will improve the quality of my writing as well as my own personal knowledge base. For those of you who don’t know, I’m not a know-it-all when it comes to all things apologetics. I study and learn as the need arises. That’s realistic right? Tools like Kindle will help me do that more efficiently. So far I’ve downloaded:
Not too bad for a novice! Any suggestions which would improve my library?
I just cashed in the 50 dollar Facebook advertising credit from GoDaddy, hopefully it will bring more people here. I added a few lists of bible verses to the main site: Homosexuality and Melchizedek (no, they aren’t immediately related). Those come in handy when you just want raw information, I hope to add more lists of verses and other information which might be useful (feel free to drop suggestions in the comment box below).
Nothing really exciting to report today. I just created a contact page. In case you didn’t know you can email me at eyeonapologetics@gmail.com. At this stage in the website, if your email is relevant to apologetics, theology or evangelism I will probably write back.
Hey again! Slowly but surely the site is coming along. I just finished an outline of the book of Genesis. 1 down 65 to go. Hopefully someone out there will find it useful, that’s all I ask. Get into the Bible and study it. Learn about God. Some day this website is going to be FULL of great Bible info! Keep reading!
I just created a page for each book of the Bible. They are all under the Bible category. So far all they contain are two statistics about each book: the number of chapters and verses. Of course more will be added as I have time to research and write.
Ok, I just installed Google Analytics into Drupal and WordPress. I’m not sure if they work yet. Only time will tell. If you are really curious go to EOA’s homepage and click around a while. I’ll likely include the number of hits in the blog as the site grows.
