David Wood talks about the letter from the Mayor of Dearborn which says he was blocking foot traffic. Then he shows the film from his camera of Nabeel Qureshi’s cool, calm conversation and there are a bunch of people passing by behind them without any trouble. Another point which the Dearborn police and Mayor (John O’Reilly) lied about in their respective documents.
A crowd didn’t form right away. But u can see in the video that the camera man had to stand farther back because of all the attention the crowd was getting. You’re going into an Arabic festival where the majority of people are Muslim. If you want people to take Jesus as their master, hold a conference or rent a table at the Arabic festival to pass out your fliers about the human god. Don’t go into an Arabic festival and disturb the peace.
Ali, the footage from the other camera will show you the same thing: there was a small crowd and anyone who wanted to get through could easily and reasonably walk around them. They were not yelling at anyone and they complied with the police when they were being (falsely) arrested. They scene was the Muslims cheering as freedom was being stripped away. No one disturbed the peace, the videos make that pretty clear.
Why do you refer to these young men as Muslims? Are they not observers, individuals, people, teenagers….. who you and your acquaintances seem to have targeted? The point is that there were many other terms you could have used to indicate who you are talking about. A person is not defined by their religion; they are defined by their actions. You will find no sympathy when you speak in a condescending tone about all that were involved, with the exception of you are your coconspirators.

Nadia, I am defined by my religion. I am a Christian and that defines how I act, what I believe, how I speak to others, how I treat others, why I don’t do certain things, why I do other things, etc. If your religion doesn’t define you then you are not a true follower of that religion.
If they weren’t Muslims then I apologize. It seems like they are from the questions they are asking and from the setting in which they are asking them (an Arabic festival in Dearborn, MI).
And as a side note, if you think I sound condescending then you have missed my “tone” completely. I care deeply for Freedom and want people to know who is taking it away from these Christians.
I can imagine the crowd cheered for your wrongdoings last year. You know, the video posted on Youtube purposely edited to demonize Muslims, and to create the facade of us taking over Dearborn with sharia law, yeah, that whole thing didn’t really get you on our good side. Therefore the cheers were justifiable. This year though, if I were to judge you guys strictly based on this video it doesn’t seem like you or your friends did anything wrong, but with your bad reputation, ehhhhh, I’m not sure if I could trust that you didn’t edit this video too, and I’m sure the judge would put that into consideration also.
The Muslims demonized themselves by their poor behavior. If you seriously want to charge Acts 17 Apologetics with dishonestly editing their videos then show us the proof! Where are the gaps? where are the mistakes? Neither David nor Nabeel are professional editors and even the best make mistakes. Surely you wouldn’t accuse them of this with no evidence? Surely!

I can guarantee you that if I, an Arab Muslim, were to go to the most densely populated Christian town(let alone festival) in the U.S., preaching the Quran that I wouldn’t make it out ALIVE. How ignorant can you and your co-conspirators are to label one of the most ethically rich cities in Michigan as the followers of Shariaa law. What’s sad about all this is that you’re not even winning Christians in your war against Muslims. Because they see past your evil need to spread propaganda about Dearborn and its residents to people outside of Michigan who wouldn’t know any better. Your dishonest tactics to crucify NORMAL PEOPLE like yourself are not encouraged or permissible in Christianity or Islam. Dont expect to get any sympathy around here … you think your slick but your really not your so upset because now not only Muslims in Dearborn have you figured out but many people including Christians as well. You go into a Arabic festival( 99% Muslim) with your little video recorder looking for a goup of boys that look confrontational you find the perfect target group; Muslim boys all under the age of 16 you start your little offensive chat with them thinking that they will react in a violent way but they didnt they did the right thing by waiting for law enforcement to do their job and indeed they did. The outcome you wanted was for one of the boys to push or spit on you so you could have it plastered on every news station known to man , and if Dearborn practices Sharia law then why were you arrested by a Christian???

Glenn, are you kidding me that the video wasn’t edited! I will bet my life that 9 out of the ten “kids” that were being hustled have no idea what Sharia law is! I would love to explain to you what Sharia law is and how it would solve all of humanities problems as it did for the better of 1500 years before your ancestors, the Crusaders, repeatedly and vicously instigated and attacked the Islamic Caliphate. And I agree with you. Your religion does define you. In your case, the hypocrisy that spews out of your mouth, as well as Acts 17, is just a manifestation of the hypocrisy that exists within the domain of Christianity!
Glen, first of all, those “kids” that Nabil engaged with are only “kids”. Born and raised here! I would bet that, being from Dearborn myself, 9 of 10 have no idea what Sharia law is! Qureshi antagonized a group of young Muslims who, unlike mature adults, confronted him emotionally rather than intellectually! That’s why I have no respect for him! If he is sincere about engaging in such a dialogue, don’t hide behind a camera! And if your so concerened about ensuring that “freedoms” should be preserved, I haven’t heard one Christian group make a stand against the unconstitutional attempt to prevent a Mosque being built 2 blocks next the Ground Zero!
I have lived in Dearborn all my life, teach lots of students from Dearborn and have never once felt I am under Sharia law. Why doesn’t ACTS 17 obey the governing authorities and get a booth next year. I find their youtube propaganda very disturbing. I fear all extremists, Christian, Muslim, atheist or whoever. Extremists who can’t get along with others or allow others to have a point of view are a danger to all of us.
Pj, you realize that your position is self-contradictory because you you don’t allow for extremists to hold their views, right? They have just as much a reason to fear your intolerance of them.
