Four Christian apologists were falsely arrested in Dearborn, Michigan this last week. Dearborn, MI has a large Arab population and hosts an Arabic Festival each year. These Christians made many efforts to only talk to people who approached them and not to incite poor behavior from the Muslims in attendance. In spite of their cordial efforts the Dearborn police department handcuffed the four Christians in the above video and took them to prison without so much as watching the video tape they had of their activity.

The behavior of the officer in the above picture is unjust and un-American. Please contact the Dearborn police department, the Dearborn City Council, and Mayor John O’Reilly to complain about their unconstitutional treatment of these four well-behaved American citizens. Contact them and tell them you think they ought to allow Christians to peacefully evangelize if they wish to do so.

As a police officer myself, I can tell you that these officers were probably following orders from the politicians in control. I LOVE seeing our evangelists preach on the street corners and at protests! I stand there in uniform and tell them that we support them and will protect them. The police are NOT the enemy: the POLITICIANS are! Please don’t demonize the police for this issue. If the police officers acted rudely, I’m sure it was out of frustration from being put in such a frustration position. We are praying for our evangelists and for our country to return to the Lord Jesus Christ.
John, thank you for your comment. I would certainly not unilaterally blame all cops for this incident. There blame falls squarely on the officers directly involved, as well as their police chief (who ought not to have employed people who would favor one religion over another in the course of their duty). If the officer in the picture was told by a politician to arrest those Christians he ought to have refused. He either chose not to or acted on his own, thus making him culpable.
My husband and I just watched a DVD series on how the American Indians landed in reservations. The “whites” came into America and wanted them to change to be just like them. Sorry, but “I was following orders of politicians” doesn’t wash !!! You cannot justify making an arrest that is patently unconstitutional. The oath officers take says nothing about politicians or their orders. It does however specifically say officers will uphold the laws of their respective state and the Constitution of the U.S.A.
And when the hell do you make an arrest because someone’s presence MIGHT cause some kind of disturbance on a public sidewalk.
Why are you immediately siding with the perps before getting the policemen’s side of the story? Why do you lefties always hate the police so much? They risk their lives and all you do is whine and side with the ciminals every time.
Peter, The “lefties” are the cops who overlook the constitution and handcuff Christians who are peacefully talking to Muslims. What could the cop in the photo possibly say that would make him handcuffing David Wood justifiable? Or the cops who cuffed the young girl who was filming? Is filming people for non-commercial purposes in public now a crime? Let’s be realistic here Peter.
This is a true case that makes me ashamed of what our country has come to…fifty years ago people would not have stood for this not only were they arrested for their God given right but also were arrested for practicing what our constition says about freedome of religion. Our founding fathers would have turned in their graves with such disgust at this incident. First they want to take our guns…also a constition right, now they are arresting people who are sharing their religious believes…..un freaking real, I dont know about you guys but i feel that the police that arrested these men along with the police chief of dearborn should all have their badges turned in and AMERICANS IF WE WANT THIS COUNTRY BACK WE MUST HAVE A GOD FEARING PRESIDENT AGAIN REGUARDLESS OF THEIR PARTY.
